Scuola Sci Centrale Ski School boasts a team of 105 instructors, professionals rigorously selected to ensure the very highest teaching standards.
A fundamental principle rules the selection of staff: it is not enough to be a good skier to be able to teach. Skiing down the slope with elegance is a personal talent. Passing on that same mastery to a pupil requires different skills. It takes method, sports psychology and great empathy. A professional knows how to spot insecurities and knows how to intervene with the right exercise at the right moment.
With such a large team, we are able to cater to the individual preferences of our students. We offer a wide range of timings and teaching approaches, whilst maintaining the excellent quality of our lessons.
Beware of imitations: the value of certification
The world of winter sports sometimes attracts individuals lacking proper training. It is crucial to entrust your progress to qualified professionals. Our facility employs only instructors whose skills are certified in accordance with current regulations. In addition to national accreditation, our teaching staff hold specialisations that certify their absolute suitability for teaching.
The FISI logo on the uniforms serves as a mark of quality. It indicates the successful completion of selective examinations based on biomechanics, safety regulations and first aid. Professionals constantly update their techniques and keep up to date with the latest guidelines. An unqualified instructor risks teaching incorrect posture and creating habits that are difficult to correct. A certified instructor teaches the correct movement from the very beginning and promotes natural and safe learning.
Different disciplines to suit all abilities
The mountains offer countless ways to glide across the snow. Our team specialises in various disciplines to ensure we can meet the specific needs of our students.
- Alpine skiing: the foundation of winter sports. Our teaching programmes for adults and children focus on building balance and core stability. Uncertainty soon gives way to a fluid, controlled ride.
- Snowboarding: using a snowboard requires a different body control. Dedicated instructors guide the transition to lateral balance and facilitate the first movements, leading to controlled turns.
- Telemark: the free-heel technique demands strength and elegance. Lessons focus on weight distribution and the synchronisation required to execute the characteristic bend.
- Freeride: fresh snow demands the utmost discipline. Off-piste specialists provide instruction on the use of self-rescue systems and on assessing slopes. Minimising risk remains the primary objective.
- Freestyle: tricks in the park hide pitfalls. You learn to manage take-off, the air phase and landing with total control, progressing towards complex manoeuvres without straining yourself.
Eight spoken languages for easy understanding
Trying out a new sport almost always causes a bit of nervousness. Being able to speak to the instructor in your own language is crucial for reducing stress. The team communicates fluently in eight languages: Italian, English, Russian, Spanish, Danish, German, Polish and French.
Understanding exactly how to position the weight of your boot or how to rotate your shoulders requires specific vocabulary. Receiving instructions in an unfamiliar language causes confusion and slows down progress. A clear explanation, given in a language you know, breaks down the barriers. The student feels supported and understood and can focus all his mental resources on performing the sporting movement.
Technical expertise, targeted specialisations and fluency in languages characterise a well-rounded instructor profile, ready to help skiers of all ages achieve complete independence on the snow.
